PHOTOS: Oklahoma, Texas to wear gold-accented uniforms

Regardless of record or ranking, the Red River Rivalry game between Oklahoma and Texas is always going to be one of the (if not the) most special games on the Big 12 calendar. So it's only appropriate the two teams have reached an agreement with Nike to wear special uniforms for each of its next two installments.

In honor of the "Golden Hat" trophy awarded to the winner, the uniforms will have gold accents and patches across the uniform. From Oklahoma's website devoted to the new look:

For once, the Swoosh deserves a hearty thumbs-up for their uniform dabbling, as these looks are unique enough to feel worthy of the occasion while still looking like, well, Texas and Oklahoma uniforms. (Remember that that's hardly a requirement for alternates these days.) Silly college football bloggers aren't hte only ones impressed, either:
