The Top 25 had one of the biggest shakeups of the season thus far, after seven ranked teams fell on Saturday. Some teams, like Washington and Florida, remained in the Top 25 after losing to higher-ranked competition. Michigan and Northwestern, on the other hand, fell from the rankings after losing to unranked conference opponents.

Oklahoma fell six spots to No. 18 after getting run by Texas in the Red River Rivalry, while No. 13 Stanford and No. 15 Georgia fell eight spots each after losing on the road at Utah and at home to Missouri.

Gary Pinkel's Tigers were the fastest rising team this week, jumping from No. 25 to No. 14. However, celebration of such accomplishments has been dampened by the news that starting quarterback James Franklin has an injured shoulder and will likely miss the rest of the regular season.

With Auburn making their debut at No. 24, the SEC has eight teams in the AP Top 25. According to the AP's Ralph D. Russo, no other conference has ever had that many ranked teams in one week of the regular season poll. The ACC has their own reason to celebrate, with three teams in the Top 10 heading into next Saturday's primetime matchup of Florida State and Clemson in Death Valley.
