VIDEO: Kevin Sumlin gives Lambo game ball after game-winning kick

By Chip Patterson | College Football/Basketball Writer

As Kevin Smulin mentions in the video below, some recent legislation allows teams to give out game balls to players. The Texas A&M locker room was a jubilant scene Saturday night, after the Aggies overcame a fourth quarter deficit to escape Oxford with a 41-38 win over Ole Miss.

Johnny Manziel was fantastic; finishing with over 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing, but the game ball was going to transfer kicker Josh Lambo, the former professional goalkeeper who recently took over place-kicking duties for Taylor Bertolet.
