GIF: Michigan State's tip drill touchdown

By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer

Sometimes it pays to be good, other times it pays to be lucky. Michigan State is fine with both options.

After taking two straight sacks and being knocked out of field goal range, Michigan State found itself facing a third and 25 in the final minute of the first half. That's when quarterback Connor Cook rolled out of the pocket and this happened.

Yes, that ball went through the hands of two Illinois defenders and into the hands of Bennie Fowler for a touchdown to give the Spartans a 14-3 lead at halftime.

It's one of those few times when a quarterback will get yelled at by his coach in the film room for throwing a touchdown.
