Virginia Tech needs to win its final two ACC games to clinch a share of the Coastal Division title and have a shot to play in the ACC Championship Game. But when the Hokies take the field on Saturday in Blacksburg, the defense will be without two key seniors in the defensive backfield.

Kyle Fuller and Antone Exum, both All-ACC cornerbacks during their career with the Hokies, will miss their Senior Day game against Maryland due to injuries. Fuller will miss the game due to a groin injury that has been an issue over the last several weeks, while Exum will sit out because of an ankle injury suffered in the first half of Virginia Tech's win at Miami last week.

Thankfully, defensive coordinator Bud Foster can feel comfortable starting freshman cornerbacks Brandon Facyson and Kendall Fuller, Kyle's brother. Both Facyson and the younger Fuller have played extensively throughout this season and have combined for nine interceptions -- Kendall Fuller leads the team with five picks.

Maryland has its own issues in the passing game heading into the weekend, with backup wide receivers Levern Jacobs (concussion) and DeAndre Lane (hamstring) ruled out for Saturday's contest. Staring wide receivers Deon Long and Stefon Diggs each suffered a broken leg last month, ending their 2013 season.

While Virginia Tech is playing to keep its ACC title dreams alive, Maryland is looking for win No. 6 to salvage an injury-filled season with the Terps' first bowl game under Randy Edsall. After starting the season 5-1, the team has dropped three straight games and now need just one win from a remaining schedule that includes the Hokies, Boston College, and N.C. State.
