Gary Patterson isn't saying. But senior tailback Waymon James may have played his last game for TCU .

James has missed the Horned Frogs' previous two games through suspension for a violation of team rules, and he does not appear on the official TCU roster for this Saturday's home game vs. Baylor (PDF). The game vs. the Bears is the Frogs' regular season finale, and at 4-7, they will not be going bowling.

But Patterson wasn't in the mood to discuss James's status Monday.

“I'm just going to talk about the group that's here,” he told reporters, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “If you want to talk about Baylor, I'm here to talk about Baylor or how the game is going. Waymon is not a subject I'm going to talk about.”

The Star-Telegram's Stefan Stevenson notes that James has appeared on the Frogs' pregame depth chart each of the past two games, but not this week.

If James does in fact miss the game, it will end his Frog career with 1,798 rushing yards, 274 receiving yards, and 17 total touchdowns. The Sherman, Texas native's best season was 2011, in which his 875 rushing yards (on an impressive 7.2 yards-per-carry average) led the team.

But his 2012 season lasted only two games thanks to a knee injury, and though James has started seven of the Frogs' first nine games in 2013, he has totaled just 242 yards on 55 carries.
