As expected, Tuesday night's #MACtion contest between Northern Illinois and Western Michigan wasn't much to look at on the scoreboard, where the Huskies never felt seriously threatened by the 1-10 Broncos and won going away, 33-14.
But Jordan Lynch provided some excitement, and at least it was something to look at in the uniform department. Both teams wore alternates, with NIU an all-black look completed by chromer numbers, a chrome alternate Huskie logo, and even chrome facemasks. Western Michigan took things a step even further, going with all-white and a color for their jersey numbers, helmet logos, and facemasks truly best described as "gold foil."

Oh, and both teams replaced their names on the back with team slogans: NIU with "The Hard Way," and WMU with -- what else -- "Row the Boat."
A quick Twitter survey showed plenty of support for WMU's, um, adventurous look, but others weren't so kind:
