It's amazing what some wins can do for a coach.

Coming in to the 2013 season, according to CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd, there was no coach in the country sitting on a hotter seat than Bobby Hauck. Not even Lane Kiffin. But a funny thing happened on the way to the unemployment line, Hauck's team started winning games. Enough games that the Rebels are eligible for a bowl game this season.

Enough games that Hauck now finds himself the recipient of a three-year contract extension.

"As I've said many times, my family and I are extremely happy at UNLV and love living in Las Vegas," Hauck said in a release on Wednesday. "I am excited to tell our team and staff that we can now focus on continuing to build this football program and pursuing the ultimate goal of bringing a Mountain West Championship to UNLV."

In his first three seasons at UNLV the Rebels went 6-32, and this season the team currently sits at 6-5. Hauck came to UNLV from Montana in 2010 after going 80-17 in seven seasons with the Grizzlies.
