Rice defeated Marshall 41-14 to win the Conference USA title on Saturday and accepted a bid to play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

The Liberty Bowl will be played in Memphis, Tenn., on New Year's Eve, and the Owls will likely face a team from either the American Athletic or SEC. CBSSports.com's Jerry Palm currently has the Mississippi State projected to play Rice in the game.

And while Marshall may not be Conference USA champions, it's still going to a bowl game as well. It was announced on Saturday evening that the Thundering Herd had accepted a bid to the Military Bowl.

The Military Bowl will be played in Annapolis, Md., on Dec. 27, and Marshall will face a team from the ACC. Jerry Palm projects that it will be Maryland.
