A snowball fight on Oregon's campus that got out of hand -- and was captured on video -- will reported cost the Ducks their starting tight end for their Alamo Bowl meeting with Texas.
The Oregonian reported Monday that sophomore Pharaoh Brown has been suspended after his appearance on a viral video in which football players and other students pelted cars and their drivers with snowballs after Friday's snowstorm.
According to the Oregonian, Mark Helfrich decided on the suspension after speaking with a driver involved and issuing an apology on behalf of the team.
Helfrich said in a statement Sunday that "disciplinary actions have begun,"
"The behavior exhibited in the video is completely unacceptable and dangerous," he said. Watch the video in question:
Other players not publicly identified are facing internal punishment, the Oregonian's source said, and a university-wide investigation could result in further penalties.
Brown has appeared in seven games for the Ducks this season, catching 10 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
