South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney feels the need. The need for speed. Allegedly.

The Associated Press is reporting that Clowney was pulled over on Saturday night while driving 110 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. The South Carolina Highway Patrol pulled Clowney over in a Chrysler 300 on Interstate 77 and ticketed him.

A ticket that will cost Clowney $355.

Odds are Clowney won't have much trouble recouping the fine as he'll likely be an early first-round NFL draft pick this spring. Though it will be interesting to see how this is all spun by talking heads on television talking about his maturity and blah blah blah.

Listen, you shouldn't drive 110 MPH anywhere but on a race car track. It's dangerous and you could seriously hurt yourself or somebody else, if not kill them. But you know what? I've done it and it was awesome .

I was driving home on an expressway at 2 a.m. one night and the road was absolutely empty. So I went for it, and for those few seconds I felt like I was the king of the world. So I can't judge Clowney all that harshly for this, as I too have felt that need for speed.

Just don't do it anymore, all right?
