Consider it the tweet heard round the world ... or at least, the world if it was self-contained to Waco, Texas:

That's Bears star wideout Tevin Reese, apparently confirming that he has been cleared to return from the wrist dislocation suffered in the Bears' big November win over Oklahoma. The injury was initially expected to keep Reese sidelined for the remainder of the regular season but allow him to return for the Bears' postseason game.

With Baylor winning the Big 12 and off to their first BCS bowl berth, the late date seems to have made Reese's return not just possible, but probable. No, Reese's tweet doesn't specifically cite that he's been cleared to practice,* but a brief Twitter exchange with teammate Glasco Martin would seem to confirm that that's the news Reese is breaking.

His return will be extremely good news for a Baylor attack that took a step back from its record-shattering early-season pace as soon as Reese went down. The senior only caught 33 passes in the Bears' first seven games, but they went for an incredible 824 yards, an average of 24.95 yards per-reception. Reese's ability to stretch the field was much missed in the Bears' loss to Oklahoma State, and throughout Baylor's stretch run; after averaging at least 7.7 yards per-play in every one of their first eight games, the Bears averaged 5.5 or fewer in four of their final five.

So UCF, the Bears' fellow BCS debutant, should consider themselves warned.

*It's possible Reese was, say, tweeting about being able to talk his way out of a campus parking ticket. But again: much less likely than that he'll play in the Fiesta.
