USF defensive end Aaron Lynch will not return to the Bulls in 2014, deciding to forego his final two years of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.

"We thank Aaron for his contributions to our program over the past two years and wish him all the best in his future," USF head coach Willie Taggart said in a school release. "We look forward to Aaron representing USF well in the NFL."

Lynch transferred to USF after an impressive freshman season at Notre Dame in 2011. He appeared in 12 games (starting six) for the Fighting Irish and earned FWAA Freshman All-America honors after recording 33 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

The NCAA denied Lynch's request to play in 2012, but the 6-foot-6, 244-pound defensive end made a big impact in 2013 with the Bulls. Lynch led USF with six sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss, adding 30 tackles on the way to earning first team All-AAC honors.
