Oregon State's prolific offense was hardly the storyline of the first half of the Hawaii Bowl against Boise State.
That's because senior cornerback Rashaad Reynolds returned two different fumble recoveries for scores, including a 70-yard return in the second quarter that extended the Beavers' lead to 24-6 over the Broncos. They were the first two touchdowns of his career.
Boise's backup QB – you may remember their starter was sent home for allegedly urinating off a balcony – hit wideout Troy Ware, who promptly fumbled the ball. Reynolds scooped it up and returned it, untouched, for the score.
Reynolds' first score came off a strip sack courtesy of Beavers DL Scott Crichton with just under three minutes left in the first quarter.
All in all, not a great first half for the Broncos, who were facing a 31-6 deficit late in the first half.
