Notre Dame nose guard Louis Nix was ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery last month. Because of that, the redshirt junior, who has yet to make a decision regarding the 2014 NFL Draft, was watching Notre Dame's Pinstripe Bowl win against Rutgers with the rest of us.

Nix spent much of the game on Twitter, providing the kind of commentary we miss while he's on the field.

We begin with Nix offering some commentary on his head coach.

From there Nix delivers some play-by-play commentary, with props for the kicker and more "Brian Kelly face color" updates.

The true 12th Man in Yankees Stadium is not in the crowd, it's on the field. Nix, like many fans, noticed the impact of the turf in the Pinstripe Bowl.

At this point, Nix really hit his stride. Below is a "Best of" of the second half commentary. Note that "Carrot top" is a reference to Rutgers' quarterback Chas Dodd.
