WATCH: Logan Thomas bowls over UCLA freshman Myles Jack

By Chip Patterson | College Football/Basketball Writer

Even with offensive struggles during the last two seasons, Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas remains an intriguing NFL prospect because of his size and athleticism.

Thomas' strength was on display in the second quarter of the Sun Bowl against UCLA, as the senior quarterback broke a tackle attempt from UCLA linebacker Myles Jack.

Jack earned Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2013 after stepping in at running back during the last month of the season.

Myles Jack has out-of-this-world athleticism, but Thomas may have won this collision due to old man strength. No matter how strong or freakish freshman have become, some things cannot compare to old man strength.
