Steve Spurrier didn't want to hold the trophy, he wanted to hold the microphone.

The Head Ball Coach delivered a gut punch to Clemsonfans from the Capital One Bowl podium after the Gamecocks' 34-24 win, ranking back-to-back New Year's Day wins (even though last year was in the Outback Bowl) just behind the Gamecocks' "State Championship."

South Carolina finished the season with an 11-2 record for the third straight year. Spurrier's wise cracking usually corresponds with on-field success. Unless the Gamecocks stray from their winning ways, don't expect HBC to stop talking smack anytime soon.
