Oklahoma State WR Josh Stewart to enter 2014 NFL Draft

By Chip Patterson | College Football/Basketball Writer

The 2014 NFL Draft announcements have been rolling in throughout the week, but few have taken the 21st century approach to declaring like Oklahoma State wide receiver Josh Stewart.

The short and speedy wide receiver battled nagging injuries down the stretch of the regular season but finished with 60 catches for 707 yards after breaking out with 1,210 yards in his sophomore season. Stewart's future as an NFL prospect is boosted by his performance as a punt returner, averaging 16.7 yards per return and taking two kicks back for touchdowns.

Stewart not only shared his announcement on Twitter, but had a custom-made infographic that was posted to his Instagram account.

"First I wanna thank god for this opportunity and for all the Cowboy fans that's been the most loyal and true fans I've ever been around!" Stewart wrote in the caption of the photo. "I've been so blessed and I'm thankful for you guys! I would like to just let you all know that I've decided to declare and enter the NFL draft! One of the most hardest decisions I've had to make in my life. But im ready for this life and I hope all my friends and Cowboy family continue to follow me throughout this journey I'm gonna be preparing for! Thanks for everything Cowboy Nation I will rep Pokes until my time on this earth is up!"
