It appears that Bobby Petrino is bringing a quarterback with him on his return to Louisville.

According to a report from ESPN.com's Josh Moyer, former Penn State quarterback Tyler Ferguson is transferring to Louisville. Ferguson announced his transfer from Penn State following the end of the 2013 regular season, and had originally planned on transferring to Western Kentucky. Obviously those plans changed when Bobby Petrino left Western Kentucky to take over at Louisville.

Ferguson transferred to Penn State from the junior college ranks but quickly found himself passed on the depth chart by five-star freshman Christian Hackenberg. With Hackenberg sticking around for at least two more seasons at Penn State it became obvious to Ferguson that if he wanted to see any significant playing time it would have to be at another school.

He threw for 155 yards and a score in the limited time he saw with the Nittany Lions this season.

Ferguson will have to sit out the 2014 season, but he'll have two years of eligibility remaining starting in 2015.
