One of the most productive running backs in the country has decided to move on.

Arizona announced on Monday that Ka'Deem Carey would forego his final year of eligibility to enter May's NFL Draft.

“I'm excited for the next phase of my career and to enter the NFL Draft,” Carey said of his decision. “I want to thank God, my family, Coach Rodriguez, Coach Magee and all of my coaches for everything they've done for me. My time playing football for Arizona will always be very special to me and I want to thank the fans and the Tucson community for supporting me throughout my career. The future of Arizona football is bright. Bear Down.”

Carey has flourished in Tucson the last two seasons. After leading the FBS in rushing yards per game with 148.38 in 2012, Carey improved that number to 157.08 in 2013, though he finished second to Boston College's Andre Williams. Amassing 3,814 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns the last two seasons -- along with 476 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver -- is very impressive, and Carey hopes those performances will make him desirable to NFL teams.

Carey is the top-rated running back in the 2014 class by, and is projected as a second-round pick.
