Ole Miss cornerback Bobby Hill has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest on a sexual battery charge. Hill was arrested on Tuesday and is currently being held on $10,000 bond.

The alleged incident was reported to police on Sunday morning and took place sometime last weekend.

“We had a young lady reported that she was sexually assaulted and we investigated it,” said Oxford police chief Joey East.

“We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities are responsible for the matter,” said Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze in a statement. “Bobby has been indefinitely suspended from all football activities while the process moves forward. We take this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.”

Hill appeared in 10 games for the Rebels as a freshman in 2013, making one tackle.
