According to recently released court documents, the marijuana found in a car in which Missouri receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was a passenger did not belong to Green-Beckham.

Green was arrested on Jan. 10, along with two other men, Patrick Prouty and John McDaniel, in a Columbia parking lot. McDaniel told the arresting officer that he and the two passengers had just smoked marijuana before consenting to a search of his car. The police then found two scales, a grinder and marijuana in the car before arresting all three passengers.

There was no illegal material found on Green-Beckham when he was patted down, and according to the court documents, Prouty told the police that the marijuana was his.

Green-Beckham told police that he smelled the marijuana when he got into the car, but he did not smoke it or see it inside the car. According to the receiver, he was only in the car to get a ride to a friend's house.

Green-Beckham was one of three Missouri players charged with marijuana possession in October 2012. He received a one-game suspension for that arrest.
