Georgia Tech wide receiver Darren Waller will miss the first two games of the 2014 season due to a suspension.

The school announced the suspension on Friday, stating simply that Waller had committed "a violation of team rules." The two games Waller will miss are the Yellow Jacket's opener against Wofford as well as Tulane.

Waller played in all 12 games for the Yellow Jackets last season, starting four. He finished the season third on the team with 17 catches for 367 yards and three touchdowns.

With Robert Godhigh and DeAndre Smelter both graduating, Waller is Georgia Tech's leading returning receiver. Still, considering the opponents Georgia Tech is starting the season against, and the fact it runs a triple-option offense, his absence probably won't mean too much.
