When Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche was arrested in February, coach Hugh Freeze said that he'd been suspended "until we know more." Well, apparently Freeze knows more, as he announced that Nkemdiche will be suspended for Ole Miss' season-opener against Boise State.

Nkemdiche will also be held out of spring practice, which began on Tuesday in Oxford.

Nkemdiche was arrested while celebrating his 21st birthday. He was charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a police officer. All three of the charges were misdemeanors, and they were the latest in an offseason that has seen the Rebels running afoul of the law.

Serderius Bryant was charged with public drunkenness and disturbing the peace the same weekend Nkemdiche was charged, and Channing Ward was charged with a DUI. There was also the case of Bobby Hill, who was charged with sexual battery and is no longer a member of the team, or a student at Ole Miss.
