PHOTOS: Illinois unveils its new uniforms

By Jerry Hinnen | College Football Writer

Illinois revealed a new look for its football uniforms on Wednesday night during a "rebranding" the school had been hyping for weeks.

You can see all of the new uniforms released Wednesday here (via Uniwatch) and includes basketball and other sports uniforms as well. Some of the football images:

Overall, I have to say good for the Illini, because these are sharp; the soccer-style patch on the collar is a nice, nice touch, and the jerseys skillfully straddle the line between being too busy-slash-futuristic (think "Oregon") and too dull (think any number of classic uniforms). Shame they seem set on pairing the orange jersey with the orange pants, though.
