Colorado State has added a much-needed running back to its roster.

Dalyn Dawkins, a sophomore from Purdue that found himself behind players like Raheem Mostert, Akeem Hunt and Brandon Cottom on the Boilermakers depth chart, believes in manifest destiny and is moving west to Colorado State.

The Rams currently find themselves without their two leading rushers from the 2013 season. Kapri Bibbs, who rushed for 1,741 yards and 31 touchdowns last season, left early to enter this year's NFL Draft (which begins Thursday night, by the way, in case you've been living under a rock). Then there was Donnell Alexander who finished the 2013 season with 428 yards and two touchdowns, but then transferred from the school following the season.

So there are plenty of carries to go around in Fort Collins.

As a freshman with the Boilermakers in 2013, Dawkins rushed for 115 yards on 32 carries while catching nine passes for 84 yards. Dawkins was a three-star member of Purdue's 2013 recruiting class.
