Auburn traces Chris Davis' path from the 'Kick Six' in the Iron Bowl

By Chip Patterson | College Football/Basketball Writer

Ever since Chris Davis stunned No. 1 Alabama with the first-ever walk-off field goal return for a touchdown in FBS history, Auburn fans have, rightly, jumped at the opportunity to relive the 109-yard game-winner whenever possible.

Our hats go off to the grounds crew at Auburn for painting this subtle reminder on the field in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the upcoming recruiting event, Big Cat Weekend. Gene Chizik started the event in 2009, and this year the Tigers are expecting 25 to 30 of their top prospects, along with their families, for a weekend of non-football related activities.

The players won't be in pads, but you can bet they'll visit the stadium. That's where the Auburn grounds crew has left the reminders of the "Kick Six."
