Auburn senior cornerback Jonathon Mincy was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree marijuana possession, as first reported by the Dothan Eagle.

Mincy was a backseat passenger in a vehicle pulled over by Henry County law enforcement for doing 92 in a 65 miles-per-hour zone near Abbeville, Ala., county sheriff William Maddox told the Eagle. Per Maddox, Mincy was found with marijuana debris on his shirt and "a bag of marijuana near him."

Mincy was booked on the misdemeanor possession charge and later released on a $3,000 bond.

Auburn sports information director Kirk Sampson told the Associated Press the program had no immediate comment on the matter.

A three-year starter for the Tigers from Decatur, Ga., Mincy recorded 56 tackles during Auburn's bounce-back 12-2 season. His 14 passes defended were second on the team.
