VIDEO/PHOTOS: Toomer's Corner rolled in memory of Lutzenkirchen

By Jerry Hinnen | College Football Writer

Former Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning, causing a widespread outpouring of grief within the Auburn community as Lutzenkirchen's teammates, coaches and fans mourned the loss of one of the 2010 national championship team's most well-liked players.

That grief led a collection of Auburn students and fans to gather at Toomer's Corner at 4:30 p.m. Sunday -- the time chosen in honor of Lutzenkirchen's jersey number, 43 -- to roll the corner in memory of Lutzenkirchen's life and career. Video from the Opelika Auburn-News:
