Mississippi State OL Damien Robinson (knee) out for the year

By Chip Patterson | College Football/Basketball Writer

Mississippi State suffered a setback on its offensive line as senior tackle Damien Robinson has been ruled out for the 2014 season after suffering a knee injury during a scrimmage.

Dan Mullen confirmed this week that the 6-foot-8, 325-pound lineman tore his ACL during the Bulldogs scrimmage last Friday.

Robinson primarily played special teams during 12 games of action in 2013, but he was expected to be a contributor, and possibly start, on the offensive line in front of quarterback Dak Prescott.

Mississippi State opens the season against Southern Miss on Aug. 30.
