Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has not officially been ruled out for the entire 2014 season, but the sportsbooks across the country have already reacted to the reported news.

At Bovada (@BovadaLV), Ohio State was downgraded from 12/1 to 18/1 after it was reported that Miller could miss some time due to a shoulder injury. Once it became widely reported that Miller will miss the entire 2014 season, Bovada dropped the Buckeyes to 40/1 and the Las Vegas SuperBook dropped them all the way to 50/1.

"Ohio State was a major contender at 10/1 to win the National Championship and considering Braxton Miller was a frontrunner for the Heisman at 15/2, this injury has impacted their odds drastically going from 10/1 to 18/1 amidst the rumors of the injury and now are confirmed at 40/1," Kevin Bradley, sportsbook manager at Bovada said Monday.

"Michigan State and Wisconsin will now surpass them as favorites for the Big Ten and only time will tell if we are over-adjusting on the Buckeyes, even though they still have a fairly easy schedule."

For comparison, 40/1 and 50/1 is also where Michigan and Texas were listed late last month. That is quite the slide for a team that many expected to win the Big Ten and compete in the first College Football Playoff.
