RUSTON, La. (AP) - Lennon Creer ran for 177 yards on 32 carries, including the winning touchdown in overtime, as Louisiana Tech outlasted Central Arkansas 48-42 Saturday night.
After a 42-42 tie in regulation, Central Arkansas got the ball first, but its drive stalled and Adrien Cole blocked Eddie Camara's 39-yard field goal attempt.
When the Bulldogs (1-1) took over, Creer burst 23 yards on the first play to the Bears' 2-yard line, and he scored from the 1 two plays later.
Louisiana Tech took a 35-20 third-quarter lead on a 12-yard run by Creer, but Central Arkansas (1-1 tied it on Nathan Dick's touchdown passes of 43 yards to Dominique Croom and 56 yards to Jesse Grandy.
Central Arkansas' Jerre McKnight ran a fumble back 73 yards for a 42-35 lead with 2:08 left, but the Bulldogs drove 72 yards to tie it on Ray Holley's 7-yard run with 58 seconds left.
