Al Groh, Virginia: Things are heating up again in Virgina. Al Groh had a three-game winning streak, but now after losing four consecutive ACC games, Groh remains No. 1 on the hot seat. No bowl for Virginia this season either and it still has to play at Clemson and vs. Virginia Tech. After nine seasons with Virginia, Groh might be coaching his final games.
Charlie Weis, Notre Dame: Everything is falling into place for Weis to be gone. After losing to Navy at home for the second time in three years, things are getting worse. Notre Dame is 6-4 and still might lose to Connecticut and Stanford to close out the season. Add in the fact that Weis is 1-10 against teams that finished in the Top 25 and just one bowl win in the past three seasons and Weis is in trouble.
Ron Zook, Illinois: Zook was No. 1 a few weeks ago, but with surprising victories over Michigan and Minnesota, things might have cooled a bit for the coach. After losing to Northwestern, Illinois is just 3-7 and will not be in a bowl this year. It's hard to believe this was a team that was in the Rose Bowl two years ago, but now will have a losing season.
Steve Kragthorpe, Louisville: Kragthorpe was the only "5" rated coach in Dennis Dodd's preseason rankings and things haven't changed. Kragthorpe and Louisville are 4-6 and 1-4 in the Big East Conference. The next few weeks will be telling for the Cardinals (at South Florida and Rutgers), who have not been the same since Bobby Petrino left.
Dennis Erickson, Arizona State: After an impressive 10-3 season in 2007, Erickson has gone 5-7 in 2008 and is currently 4-6. To make matters worse, the Sun Devils have lost four in a row and will need to beat UCLA and Arizona to make a bowl game. At age 62, Erickson might be coaching his final games at Arizona State.
Others to watch: Mark Mangino, Kansas; Dan Hawkins, Colorado; Todd Dodge, North Texas; Ralph Fridgen, Maryland; Doug Martin, Kent State; Paul Wulff, Washington State.
Each year, Dennis Dodd unveils his Coach Hot Seat Rankings to show the fan which coaches are facing the most pressure to succeed.
This year we do it one better. Each week we will update the rankings to show you which coaches are moving up and down the hot seat rankings. Some coaches who are close to being fired at the beginning of the season will cool off as the season progresses. Others might be fine in August, but could be close to being fired in December.
Yes, that's is not a misprint. He is 2-4 his last six against Tennessee and soon to be 2-7 against Florida his areer at Georgia. He lost to Ga Tech last season and will likely lose a second time this year (three str

Fulmer has made it clear he wants to get back into coaching, but only at a place where he can compete for championships. I have heard Louisville would be a good chance. I also think Texas AM and Virginia could be a good fit.
With a 8-14 (.364) overall record and a 3-11 (.214) conference record Rich Rodriguez has the WORST record of ANY coach in the history of Michigan football. In fact, only one other coach(es) has a losing record at Michigan. That was the two coach tand
