USC lands top 20 wingback Sebastian LaRue

By Bryan Fischer | Blogger

USC continues to roll on the recruiting trail, adding another highly regarded recruit from their own backyard after Santa Monica (Calif.) athlete Sebastian LaRue committed to the Trojans on Thursday night.

"The tradition is so great," LaRue told the LA Times.

The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder held offers from just about every school out West as well as Oklahoma and Florida State among others. Able to play as a slot receiver or cornerback, the versatility LaRue offered was one of the big pluses for the USC coaching staff that has to deal with scholarship restrictions.

LaRue becomes the 10th commitment overall for the Trojans and their class of 2013. Last season as a junior he was named 1st team All-Ocean League and 1st team All-CIF.

MaxPreps ranks the speedster as the 20th wingback in the recruiting class as well.
