Idaho's Jones Jr. arrested after allegedly selling cocaine to cops

MOSCOW, Idaho -- Idaho sophomore defensive tackle Marvin C. Jones Jr. was arrested after he allegedly sold cocaine to undercover police officers, Moscow Police Assistant Chief David Duke said Friday.

The 20-year-old Jones was arrested Thursday and booked into the Latah County Jail for investigation of three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

The arrest came after a two-week investigation in which Jones allegedly sold cocaine to undercover officers on three occasions, Duke said. A search of Jones' apartment netted more than $1,600 in cash, including marked money that officers used in the undercover buys, Duke said.

Idaho athletic officials had no immediate comment Friday.

Duke said the investigation was continuing and more arrests could follow.
