Gators TE Ingram misses practice; severity of knee injury unknown

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram missed practice on Wednesday with a strained left knee and his status is uncertain.

Florida coach Urban Meyer said he would not know the severity of the injury until the he gets the results of an MRI on Thursday morning. Meyer said Ingram suffered the injury during one-on-one drills during practice Tuesday.

Ingram, who passed up the NFL for his redshirt senior season, walked off the practice field to the locker room on Tuesday without help and without a noticeable limp.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder has caught 64 passes for 888 yards and eight touchdowns in the past two seasons as mostly an inside wide receiver. He was expected to be used as a true tight end this season.
