Comment: Has had the best career of any Texas Tech quarterback, throwing for 117 touchdowns and 13,799 yards. Is only 15 touchdowns away from breaking Colt Brennan's career TD mark. Is a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award with his nation-leading 393.4 yards per game. Last season, Harrell completed 47 of his school-record 72 attempts for 420 yards and two touchdowns, upsetting No. 3-ranked Oklahoma. He racked up 466 yards and five touchdowns on 36-of-48 attempts in the loss to Texas last season. Won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2007, joining Kliff Kingsbury (2002) and B.J. He threw for 643 yards against Kansas State, the fourth best single-game performance in NCAA Division I-A history. Threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over Oklahoma. Comment: Won the starting job over Robert Johnson in a heated fall battle. Finished with a nation-leading 4,742 yards passing and 32 touchdowns. Guided the Red Raiders to an 8-4 record, including a victory over California in the Holiday Bowl. He completed 39-of-60 passes with a career-high 520 yards and three touchdowns to earn MVP honors. He passed for at least 300 yards in the first nine games and topped the 400-yard mark six times. Played for the Los Angeles Avengers in the Arena Football League, throwing for 83 touchdown passes in 2007.
