HOUSTON (AP) -Injured Houston wide receiver Patrick Edwards is back in the hospital.
Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin, in an interview Wednesday with Houston television station KRIV, said Edwards went back into a Houston hospital Monday "for precautionary reasons because of a risk of infection at this time."
Edwards was going after a pass when his right shin hit a cart in the back of the end zone Oct. 28 in a game against Marshall.
He suffered a compound fracture and had a rod inserted in his lower right leg during surgery.
The game was televised nationally and the accident has already been shown thousands of times on the Internet - and even Edwards said he saw the replay.
Edwards has said he holds no animosity toward Marshall.
