Purdue's Hope hires FAU's Nord for offensive coordinator

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- New Purdue coach Danny Hope hired Gary Nord as the Boilermakers' offensive coordinator.

Nord was the offensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic since 2005. He will serve as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach and replace Ed Zaunbrecher, who led the offense the past three seasons under retiring coach Joe Tiller.

Nord and Hope worked together as assistants at Louisville and Oklahoma.

Shawn Clark, who worked under Hope at Eastern Kentucky, will coach the offensive line.
