The first injury in the Sept. 5 opener against BYU, caused him to miss three-plus games. After throwing 49 times in a return last week against Baylor, Bradford lasted only nine plays before being sacked by Texas' Aaron Williams during OU's second series of the game.
Bradford stayed down and looked in pain as he got up favoring his right arm. He never went to the locker room for treatment, and even tried to warming up on the sideline.
"It was the same shoulder," Bradford said after the game. "It felt pretty much like it did [against] BYU. I don't know the outlook from here. I have to talk to the doctors."
Bradford, a redshirt junior, has several options. He could shut it down for the season, rehab the shoulder again and return next year. He could elect to have surgery and return next year. He could rehab the shoulder and continue to try to play or he could start looking ahead to the 2010 NFL Draft. Already, Bradford has tempted fate with two shoulder injuries and a concussion suffered as a freshman.
Afterward, sitting at the dais in the postgame press conference he sounded like a guy who had played his final game in college.

"It's extremely frustrating the way this season has gone for me, to miss three games," Bradford said. "It's really hard to put into words."
Williams' hit was completely legal. In fact, Williams said, "I didn't think I hit him that hard."
"We're not trying to take anybody out, end anyone's career," Williams said. "We're trying to hit hard. We never went after his shoulder or anything like that."
In Bradford's place, Landry Jones completed 24 of 43 passes with two interceptions and a touchdown. Bradford won the Heisman last season throwing 50 touchdowns while guiding the highest-scoring modern-day offense.
