What the article didn't mention was that the refs blew a few other calls during the 4th quarter of the Florida/Arkansas game. This was commented on during the game by the color commentator pretty strongly, and also commented on Sunday during ESPN's sports reporters and on Pardon the Interruption by Michael Wilbon, so I'm not just imagining this. The refs called pass interference on the

Ok, I was skeptical of those who thought that SEC officials were protecting Florida, but this makes two weeks in a row! Florida might well have won this game with Miss St anyway, but when an obvious bad call that is reviewable is not overturned you have to start to wonder what's up. The ball was knocked loose before the kid crossed the goal line. I thought so to begin with and replay proved it. Lo

This was just another example of flag happy refs changing the outcome of a game and for a few teams their season. I was thrilled to see the SEC take action. These refs should absolutely be held responsible for their inept job performances. I think we need to stop with the free passes given when we chalk it up to human error. We have instant replay and I believe something like the personal fo

I say fire the clowns. When they come back what teams will trust these Clowns to call their game. They have proven to the world that 1) they rigged games or 2) they are just blind and stupid and write rules as they go along. They had alot to d

Hats off to the SEC for penalizing the officials on non-exhistant calls and it would be interesting for them to go back to look at films for callls that they missed. That being said, for all the baseball fans out there how about sanctioning of umpiring crews that consistantly miss calls which has reared it's ugly head during the playoffs this season. I don't think I have ever witnessed so many mis

First off, I'm a Hog fan. Don't believe me, check out my profile. lol. I was pretty ticked off at those calls that were made. I thought it completely changed the momentum of the game. If you give a team 30 yards in penalties on one drive, the likelihood that they're going to score increases.
With that being said, I'm tired of hearing about it. It doesn't change anything if that calls w

This is pretty cool news. I couldn't believe my eyes when they showed the replay of the Florida offensive lineman charging toward the Arkansas player nowhere near where the play finished. Did these idiotic refs just expect the Arkansas player to stand there and get lit up? He blocks back on the guy and just because the Florida guy ends up on his kiester they use that as an e

I have been watching SEC football for the past 20 years, and they have by far the worst officials of any major conference. The reason for this is the typical good ol' boy network that exists, which allows incompetent officials to remain like tenured professors, and Jim Bob's cousin Billy Bob to be hired over thousands of more qualified hard working officials. I have seen the Gators get

Referee Marc Curles needs to be not invited back to officiate at the collegiate level. High school associations should reject him based on his lack of judgement. Pee Wee and Pop Warner football would be the only appropriate place for that guy. There it's all about participation and learning how to line up right.

This is the second HORRIBLE mistake they've made this season. Why are they working games w/ top teams involved?
This is the crew, if you have no other choice, you put in a MissSt/Kentucky or Arkansas/Vandy game. Not games that can effect the conference races and national rankings. Stupid stupid stupid.
This was a horrible call, and these officials deserved their punishment.

Guys, it doesn't really matter that the refs gave the game to Florida. Even if Florida loses, AT HOME ONCE AGAIN, the BCS will still find a way to get them into the final game, as they have the past several years. It would have benefitted Florida if they had lost. that way, Teblow can make one more of his dramatic speeches, and all of Gator nation can suck up to his antics.

I'm not a fan of either team, but watched the game and definitely thought this changed all the momentum in the world. Would Ark. stop them without the calls, who knows?
Now, I just wish the NFL would pay attention to what the SEC did and start doing the same thing for their referees. I'm more of an NFL fan and watch a lot of games and these refs are getting worse by t

I guess since the crew messed up the game, shouldn't we take away the win from Florida? Wouldn't that be the fairest thing for Arkansas and the rest of the national championship contenders.

These guys have embarrassed the league on national television repeatedly, their own employers have called them out as incompetant and publicly punished them, yet they're scheduled to come back to work on November 14? Why? And what game gets to show up on that saturday knowing that they'd do better with high school officials. Isn't there an officiating crew that can be called up f

Im not a fan of either team but watching that game proved to me that the refs have too much control and can easily change the outcome of a game. To call the pass interference and personal foul penalties on Florida's game tying drive were a joke. There was no pass interference and by calling the personal foul you are saying you cant put a hit on a player who is trying to block you.&n
