Arizona AD asks for fans to help with compliance

With the Ohio State scandal dominating headlines, Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne is asking Wildcats fans to give him a call if they see student-athletes receiving improper benefits.

In his weekly email, posted on the Arizona athletics website, Byrne writes the situation at Ohio State is a reminder to "our fan base and internally on the absolute need to pay attention to the rules everyday."

He asks fans that if they "ever know of a situation where a student-athlete is receiving an extra benefit [something that the rest of the student body would not receive] please contact me ..."

He then gives his phone number and the number to the compliance department, and encourages readers to read the recent Sports Illustrated article about Ohio State.
