NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A.J. McCarron probably hoped he wouldn't have to see Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo again.
The LSU defensive ends form perhaps the nation's best pass rushing tandem, combining for 17 of the top-ranked Tigers' 37 sacks this season.
Together, they helped LSU to a No. 2 national ranking in scoring defense, and paved the way to one of the most dominating seasons in college football history.
It will all conclude Monday night against No. 2 Alabama in the BCS title game.
Just like they did in a 9-6 victory earlier this season, Montgomery and Mingo will spend the night trying to get after McCarron, Alabama's quarterback, knowing full well that points will come at a premium.
Says Montgomery: "It's going to come down to the real little things."
