Defensive end McClover will leave Auburn, enter NFL Draft

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn defensive end Stanley McClover said Thursday he will forgo his senior season and make himself eligible for the NFL Draft.

McClover had 13.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks for the Tigers this season.

"I returned home following the bowl game and had long talks with my parents and prayed a lot about my future," the 6-foot-3, 260-pounder said. "I also received the coaches' input and weighed that into my decision. I feel like this is the right opportunity for me to take my game to the next level."

McClover was hampered by an ankle injury much of the season, but was credited with 7.5 sacks over the final four games.

The Tigers finished the season with a 24-10 loss to Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl.
