OXFORD, Miss. -- Linebacker Garry Pack was dismissed and four Mississippi football players were suspended indefinitely for
undisclosed violations of team rules.
Coach Ed Orgeron announced the penalties in a statement Monday night.
Pack, a junior, started seven games and was third in tackles with 48 for
Ole Miss (2-6, 1-4 Southeastern Conference).
Defensive end LaMark Armour, defensive linemen Hayward Howard and
linebackers LeRon King and Robert Russell were suspended. All are
sophomores.
Orgeron, in his second season at Ole Miss, was not available for comment
on the announcement, a university spokesman said Tuesday.
