Weekend Watch List: Get off Shula's back, 'Bama Nation
Eeeew!
Coker is out: No, no, calm down. Miami didn't pull the rip cord on its coach. We're talking Tennessee's magnificent redshirt freshman LaMarcus Coker. He is out three to six weeks with a knee injury. Not good news with the Vols headed to South Carolina.
In his three starts subbing for Arian Foster, Coker had run for 338 yards. Foster will start this week against the Gamecocks after scoring the winning touchdown against Alabama.
Colt 48: Or the combined number of touchdown passes thrown by quarterbacks named Colt. Hawaii's Colt Brennan (vs. Idaho) leads the nation with 28 touchdown passes. Texas' Colt McCoy (at Texas Tech) is fourth with 20. He's playing against the guy who is No. 2 in TD passes, Texas Tech's Graham Harrell (25).
Senior citizen seniority: Maybe it's good that Florida State is going on the road (at Maryland). It has lost two ACC home games for the first time and the coach is still in denial.
Bobby Bowden said this week that the opponents' "maturity level" might be better than his team's.
"Does that mean the power level has changed?" Bowden said. "No. It means this year it might have changed."

Yeah, but try getting him in one of those band geek uniforms: Jack Nicklaus will dot the "I" at halftime of homecoming Saturday at Ohio State. Upon hearing that, Tiger Woods is rumored to be trying out for first trombone.
