Johnson wins Biletnikoff, beats out Dillard, Samardzija

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver on Thursday night.

Johnson, a junior, had 67 catches for 1,016 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets, who reached the Atlantic Coast Conference title game. He's Georgia Tech's first Biletnikoff winner and the first to play for an ACC team.

Jarrett Dillard of Rice and Jeff Samardzija of Notre Dame were the other finalists.

Last year's winner was Mike Hass of Oregon.
