The defense stopped Mississippi State on a goal-line stand in the final seconds first half and then forced the Bulldogs to punt with 4:32 left, ending State's final possession.
STILL NEEDS SOME WORK
The Razorbacks fell behind 14-0 before rallying for the victory, but they can't afford to let LSU get up by 14 points this week.
QB Matt Jones played at far less than 100 percent because of a pulled hamstring and managed to not only survive, but to perform well and make plays. Arkansas needs him to be a lot closer to 100 percent this week, especially when it comes to his ability to make plays on the run, but he'll have one less day to heal because the LSU game will be played on Friday. ... The Razorbacks also lost RB Kyle Dickerson to a sprained ankle and TE Jared Hicks to a shoulder injury that has bothered him throughout the season.
