--Kansas State's defense scored a safety in the first half, forcing Louisiana QB Chris Masson to run out of the back on the end zone. It was the first safety for the Wildcats since the 2005 season.

--RB Daniel Thomas rushed for 136 yards on 27 carries after a 104-yard game in the opener. He becomes the first KSU back to have consecutive 100-yard games since James Johnson in 2007.

--K Josh Cherry is off to a miserable kicking start: 0-3 on field goals and a missed extra point. Plus, the kicking game botched a snap on yet another field goal try.

GAME BALL GOES TO
RB Daniel Thomas -- He rushed 27 times for 136 yards and a touchdown. Thomas also passed for a 3-yard touchdown to tight end Jeron Mastrud out of a Wildcat set.

KEEP AN EYE ON
WR Brandon Banks -- He is off to a slow start as K-State's go-to receiver. Banks had just three catches for 33 yards against Louisiana, after catching seven balls for 67 yards in the opening win over UMass. For K-State's offense to shine, big plays must come from Banks.
