SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
Every aspect of the offense struggled to some degree against Oregon State. While Oregon State should be one of the better defenses LSU will face this season it's also true that the Tigers need to do a better job up front and do a better job of executing the offense. The loss of OG Will Arnold to a knee injury this week should not hurt as long as the Tigers can get yeoman efforts out of sophomore Brian Johnson and junior Terrell McGill.

SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
Oregon State's quick passing game hurt the Tigers at times, but at other times the Tigers failed to bring enough pressure on the quarterback. That's unusual for an LSU team and it has to change this week, even if the Tigers have to empty the tool box and bring everyone but the corners a time or two.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We're not even anywhere close to where we want to be. A 'W' is a 'W,' and I'll definitely take it, and I'm looking forward to next week." -- LSU defensive tackle Kyle Williams.
